Dear Colleagues,
Happy New Year, and time for our next learning event.
Please join us for a full-day, hybrid, CPD event at London Temple Lodge and online on: The foundations of mental health in relation to the early years curriculum, with a focus on the school readiness assessment.
Children’s mental well-being is a crucial foundation for their learning and overall
development. When mental health needs are not met, children may experience behavioural difficulties and are often referred to school doctors or therapists. A child’s healthy development depends on how well their environment meets their developmental needs. The Waldorf curriculum and school environment are designed to provide a fundamentally health-promoting (salutogenetic) basis for pupils, but how is this achieved?
This one-day CPD training will focus on the development during the first seven years of childhood, exploring how the Waldorf Early Years curriculum is tailored to support these vital stages. Those working with children in schools and kindergartens, especially those collaborating closely with teachers and parents, are uniquely positioned to support educational and home environments that foster the best possible emotional and mental health outcomes for children, both now and in the long term.
